Role: Junior Management Accountant

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000-£24,000 per year

Destiny Entertainments are currently looking for someone to join our accounts department. This will included 2-3 months of on-the-job training followed by a full-time permanent career. This role is perfect for someone who is self-studying for their ACCA or ACA as you will gain much experience in many aspects of finance and accounting.

The position will be full time, Monday-Friday 09:00-18:00. The successful candidate will be punctual, hardworking and responsible for ensuring all their tasks are complete.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Entering supplier invoices/credits
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit Control
  • Schedule supplier payments (UK and FX)
  • Quarterly VAT
  • Journal entries / amortization
  • Generate weekly margin reports / management reporting pack
  • Answering finance queries from staff
  • Checking for and raising errors to relevant departments
  • Liaising with external Financial Director

Key skills required

  • A very good understanding of bookkeeping (professional qualifications preferred)
  • Good knowledge and experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Confident with using computers in general (e.g. answering emails, using accounting software, etc.)
  • Confident communication skills (e.g. talking to suppliers, chasing customers for payment, etc.)
  • Understand currency conversion and basic foreign exchange (e.g. forwards, spot rates, margin calls, etc.)
  • Experience of at least 2 years within a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Self motivated (i.e. you won’t have a manager breathing down your neck, so long as the tasks get done on time)

Role: Customer Services Agent

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive Rate

Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service? An exciting opportunity has arisen within our sales and customer service team.

Destiny Entertainments is currently looking for a permanent full-time position to enhance the workforce in our sales and customer service team. We are a growing company and take pride in giving our customers the best possible service.

The position will be full-time (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday. The successful candidate will have the confidence and ability to provide fantastic customer service. Previous customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Deliver exemplary customer service
  • Enthusiastically and passionately conversing with customers
  • Interacting with customers via email, phone, live chat, social media, and occasionally in-person
  • Responding to customer issues
  • Giving product advice
  • Cash handling
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, services, and policies

Role: Warehouse Operative

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive Rate

Destiny Entertainments are currently looking for someone to join our busy warehouse staff.

The position is a full time contract, whereby shifts will vary Monday-Saturday (rota published 2 weeks in advance). The warehouse is open from 8am and closes at 10pm. The successful candidate will be punctual, hardworking and responsible for ensuring all their tasks are complete.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Ensuring customer’s orders are picked and packed accurately, securely and fast
  • Loading and unloading vehicles as required
  • The replenishment of stock to the picking locations
  • Performing stock takes
  • Receiving goods and logging goods in
  • Good Housekeeping
  • Manual lifting
  • Pallet stacking
  • Complying with the company’s health and safety practices

The ideal candidate

  • The ability to work by yourself or part of a team
  • Be able to work well under pressure and be calm and adaptable
  • Be able to follow instructions
  • Be willing to take on new responsibilities offered to them
  • Have a can do positive attitude
  • Be computer literate, especially excel
  • Be physically fit! This role will require lifting and physical work

Role: IT Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000-£24,000 per year

(however, if you are a JavaScript expert then salary is negotiable)

Destiny Entertainments are currently looking for someone to join our IT department. On-the-job training will be given for company specific software and processes, however, you will be expected to have a good knowledge of most of the points below. This role is perfect for someone who has a good knowledge and understanding of computers and IT and is willing to advance their career.

The position will be full time, Monday-Friday 09:00-18:00. The successful candidate will be punctual, hardworking and responsible for ensuring all their tasks are complete.

We are a growing company with a passion for giving our customers the best possible service. We like to have a comfortable and enjoyable working environment for all our staff.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Answering support cases
  • Fixing IT related issues (hardware and software)
  • Deploying and installing hardware (laptops, docking stations, etc.)
  • Liaising with external companies to get things fixed (equipment suppliers, service providers, etc.)

Key skills required

  • Able to write and/or understand JavaScript (some of our software is written in this language)
  • Experience using spreadsheets and word processing
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware (i.e. components, how they work, etc.)
  • Experience diagnosing and fixing operating system and software related issues
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, switches, AP’s, etc.)

Desired by not required skills

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Windows Server/Active Directory/etc. knowledge
  • CRM/ERP systems experience
  • Experience of AWS (specifically, EC2 as well as others)
  • Any other coding experience
  • Experience with VOIP (external company hosted and managed)
  • Knowledge of Android (mobile devices for warehouse processes)
  • Smartcard implementation
