Bishops Castle Fair

Event promoters in Bishops Castle in Shropshire reached out to Stage Concepts to put together a stage roof and stage deck package for their Michaelmas Fair.

For this project, we were to work with a strict budget, due to available grant funding and to ensure the project was affordable for the providers of the event. Unlike many other stage concepts we put together, this one was a little unique in the way the stage was to be used on a 1 in 10 gradient slope within the town square, so our design had to put this into consideration.

For this design, we went with a complete custom-designed 5 metre by 5 metre lifting tower style stage roof system that was crafted for ease of installation. Stage Concepts also implemented custom 2x1m anti-slip deck stage platforms with adjustable legs that are designed for the sloping ground of which the stage platform was to be setup and used upon. With this project, SC did not just create any stage, but one that would be defining as the centrepiece of their event. Our client loved the final build and so did the performers, a win-win all around, thanks to Stage Concepts.

The Sloping Stage

We Built...

this stage with many custom elements, due to the proposed stage site being at the very top of a hill.

We Modified...

the legs of the stage by hand to accurately match the incline of the hill itself for absolute stability.
